Petit Verdot, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc is an integral component of some of the world’s greatest red wine. It is rarely seen on its own – for reasons that may be related to fashion more than any other wine reason, it is, undoubtedly, a great red wine variety producing wines of outstanding intensity and depth of fruit flavour. Hay Shed Hill has a long tradition of showcasing varieties such as Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from an outstanding vineyard site in the heart of Margaret River. 

COLOUR:  Deep blood red of great depth and vibrancy.


NOSE: Intense dark berry aromas; blackcurrant and deep ripe cassis with a peppery hint.  

PALATE: An intense and deep palate profile rich in very ripe rich berry fruits, soft and fleshy mid palate and a firm but ripe tannin profile with good extension.
