Nouveau (English: /nuːˈvoʊ/ French pronunciation: [nuvo]), or vin (de) primeur, is a wine which may be sold in the same year in which it was harvested.
There is an almost frantic level of excitement in France around the third week of November with the release of the new season Beaujolais Nouveau, light red wines of the current season to be drunk young, cold, and fresh. The frenzy of the Nouveau release has never quite taken off in Australia – but it should! We have both the climate and the alfresco lifestyle that makes these light, fruity and dry red wines ideal for our spring and summer.
The 2021 Hay Shed Hill Nouveau is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Grenache and Chardonnay. The beautiful perfume of Cabernet Franc, the cherry sweetness of the Grenache and the mouth filling presence of a touch of Chardonnay.
